Sometimes praying the Rosary may seem tiring, as we are distracted by a thousand thoughts and activities. It is precisely in these moments that the friendly presence of a saint to whom we may be particularly devoted can come to our aid. Let us ask him or her to pray the Rosary together with us.
The closeness and powerful intercession of the saints
Saint Dominic said to his friars as he lay dying: «Do not weep. I will be more useful to you after my death and will help you more effectively than when I was alive.» And Saint Thérèse of Lisieux's phrase is famous: «I will spend my heaven doing good on earth.»

Let us not forget this when we set out to pray the Rosary. Let us ask the saints, powerful intercessors, to hold our hands and pray together with us. We are never alone, all the more so when we are praying.
We read in Lumen Gentium that «because of […] their more intimate union with Christ, the inhabitants of heaven strengthen the whole Church in holiness […].
They never cease to intercede for us before the Father, offering the merits acquired on earth through Jesus Christ, the one mediator between God and humanity. […] Our weakness is therefore greatly aided by their fraternal concern» (no. 49). Let us not waste this great opportunity.
The Holy Rosary: a treasure to rediscover together with the saints
Saint John Paul II wrote about the Holy Rosary: «A prayer that is so easy and at the same time so rich truly deserves to be rediscovered by the Christian community.» Let us accept this invitation and rediscover this beautiful and effective form of prayer by asking for the help of our saintly friends. Blessed Carlo Acutis said that «the Rosary is the shortest ladder to climb to heaven» and that praying it with Mary was for him «the most gallant appointment of his day.»

Saint Louis Mary Grignion de Montfort, moreover, was convinced that praying the Holy Rosary was the secret to developing a childlike trust in Mary and, through her, touching the heart of Jesus. He recommended this prayer wherever he went to preach and had it prayed publicly every day during his missions.
Also known as “the Father with the great crown” and “the Apostle of the Holy Rosary,” his testimony on this matter is as clear and explicit as can be: «I have personally experienced the effectiveness of this prayer in converting the most hardened hearts.» So let us ask the saints for help, perhaps turning to a saint whom we hold dear.

He will certainly not shy away from our invitation. He will make us feel his presence, and we will rediscover the extraordinary richness of the Holy Rosary and the shower of graces that flows from it, especially when it is prayed in his company!
