The secrets that the seer of Tre Fontane received from the Virgin concern dreams and visions that anticipated painful events of the last century: among others, the wounding of John Paul II in 1981, the explosion of the Chernobyl reactor in 1986, the attack on the Basilica of Saint John in Lateran in 1993, the fall of the Twin Towers in 2001…

The Superga tragedy
The entry in Bruno Cornacchiola’s diary recording the first premonition is dated March 30, 1949: «This morning I had a bad dream. It seemed to me that I saw an airplane on fire, and written above it was: Turin. What could it mean?». On the following May 4, the Superga tragedy occurred: the airplane carrying the Grande Torino football team home crashed into the Basilica of Superga, which was shrouded in dense fog.
The prophecy of Aldo Moro
More dreams anticipating shocking events; they date back to January 31 and March 25, 1978, and concern the kidnapping of Aldo Moro and his tragic end: «I find myself near the Verano cemetery and, as I was about to enter and pray, I meet a group of about fifteen men coming out, and among them I see Aldo Moro. I stop to look, and he stops and says: “But aren’t you the one from Our Lady?”. “Yes,” I tell him, “I am”. “Well then, pray for me, because I have a bad feeling about something that will happen to me soon!”. He greets me and goes outside, gets into a car, while I continue my visit and think about him as I never have before».
The Chernobyl accident
On February 1, 1986, Our Lady delivers a first message to Cornacchiola: «Prepare yourselves, my children: I can no longer hold back the hand! The wrath of justice is upon you! You will experience the signs: signs from the poisoned air, the uncultivated earth, and the whiteness of unusable milk!». And again, on the following March 1: «From today onward, pollution in the world; that is: on this poor Earth, and from Russia and America, or Asia, Oceania or Europe, and even Africa: poisonous gases for humanity; poisoned animals, livestock, plants, and vegetables, will be humanity’s fault!». Less than two months later, the Chernobyl disaster occurred.
The bomb at the Lateran
Another dream that anticipates what would happen later. On the night between July 27 and 28, Cornacchiola dreams, «Saint Francis under the Basilica of Saint John, calling me to help him hold up the church. Saint Francis encourages me to support the Church with him. I become frightened because almost all of it collapsed». Upon waking, Bruno learns from the radio that a car bomb had exploded in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano, right between the right side of the basilica and the entrance to the Vicariate.
