Our hearts turn toward a mystery that has illuminated and warmed humanity for centuries: the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. But do not think of it as an ancient or outdated devotion. Today, more than ever, in a time marked by great violence, this is a living, urgent, and incredibly modern message, capable of making our hearts beat and transforming our lives.
Pope Francis and Dilexit nos. A return to the source of love
In a world that often deceives itself into believing it can find emancipation by freeing itself from God, our beloved Pope Francis had felt the urgency of bringing us back to the center with his fourth encyclical, Dilexit nos, delivered to the Church and the world on October 24, 2024; a return to the source of all love: the Heart of Jesus.
The Pope reminds us that, by drinking deeply from the love of Christβs Heart, we become capable of weaving fraternal bonds, recognizing the dignity of every human being, and caring together for our common home. Is this not the deepest desire of us all?

The Heart of Jesus. The love that saves and redeems
Why precisely the Heart of Jesus? Simple: the heart has always been the most expressive symbol of love. AndΒ in the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we find love in its purest and most authentic form, a love that does not stop, retreat, or betray.Β This is the love that saves, the love that redeems, the love that gives itself freely for everyone, without distinction.
Pope Francis, who knew well the loneliness and disorientation of contemporary people, reminds us of a truth that often escapes us in the sterile rush of everyday life:Β βGod does not love us with words; he draws near, and in being close to us, he gives us his love with all possible tendernessβ. Think about it: when it seems to us that no one sees us, that no one cares about us, the Lord is attentive to us. This is the heart that beats for us!
Becoming βanother Jesusβ
Devotion to the Sacred Heart is a true school of life and humanity! A school where the Teacher gave, and continues to give, his very self. Placing ourselves at the school of the Sacred Heart means learning love, concretely discovering the face of a God who became human, who loves with a heart like ours so that we may feel loved and, in turn, become capable of loving in union with his human and divine Heart.
This is the key: celebrating the Heart of Jesus means allowing ourselves to be enveloped and transformed by his boundless love. It means allowing him to perform a genuine βheart transplantβ in us: he will remove our βheart of stoneβ - closed off by resentment, anger, fear, and sadness - and give us a βheart of fleshβ like his. A heart capable of love, compassion, forgiveness, meekness, humility, kindness, selflessness, and reconciliation.
Only then will our hearts truly be free! Free to experience a joy that no one can ever take away. And, even more remarkably, we will become capable of experiencing the same feelings as Jesus, reflecting his love in the world and becoming, in a sense, βanother Jesusβ for those around us. A meek and humble heart, just like his.Β

A treasure to discover every day
The feast of the Sacred Heart brings us back to the heart of the Christian message: love; true love, the kind that βexcuses everything, believes everything, hopes for everything, endures everything. Love that will never end.β
The month of June, traditionally dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, offers us this incredible opportunity to deepen our relationship with him and enter into intimacy with him.Β It is an invitation to respond to that love with our heart, with our lives, with our ability to love and to let ourselves be loved.
Let yourself be won over by the Heart of Jesus! Open the door of your heart to love without boundaries, and discover the joy of living in communion with him.
Only by returning to the Heart of Christ, and thus to our own hearts, can the world become that common home where people - all brothers and sisters - will lay down their weapons and recognize themselves as children of one Father.
This journey of love and faith begins today. Are you ready to make your heart beat in unison with Jesusβ heart? Tell us in the comments.
