When we talk about faith, prayer, and the Gospel… we usually compare ourselves with the people close to us, and when news of a conversion comes from the entertainment world, we are struck—pleasantly so—but always a little surprised. Perhaps because we perceive that world as distant and unreal. In reality, “famous” people are people like us who seek meaning, experience joys and sorrows, and encounter God in their daily lives… different from ours, but daily lives nonetheless.

The very famous Italian singer spent part of his life searching for the meaning of life, without finding it satisfactorily. When he found the courage to question everything and seek a deeper meaning in events, Jesus appeared on his path. He said in an interview: “Without faith, our earthly journey is an announced tragedy that, in the best-case scenario, ends with old age, illness, and death.” The Gospel opened his horizons, and reading Tolstoy contributed to this great change.
