The spirituality of the most precious blood of Jesus and prayer addressed to the most precious blood may seem like something distant from us and our everyday lives, but that is not at all the case: it is a prayer for life and of life!

Every person has sacred value
The spirituality associated with the most precious blood immediately leads us to think of redeemed humanity and the immense value of every person for whom the Lord gave his life.
Returning to meditate on the fact that Jesus gave himself for everyone and for each person, we have the opportunity to reconsider what we perhaps take for granted: the sacred value of every person. We are all children of the same Father, and no lives are disposable: we are all precious and endowed with the dignity of God's children.
The Lord gave his life for everyone, and for this reason we cannot remain indifferent to the fate of our brothers and sisters. We cannot look the other way when we encounter discrimination, marginalization, segregation... when difference - arising from each person's uniqueness - becomes an occasion for unequal treatment, lack of opportunity, or an assumption of superiority.
Opening ourselves to fraternity
Christ suffered for humanity, but he continues to suffer in humanity. This is the demanding message he left us in the Gospel, when he foretold that we would be judged on love and asked whether we had known how to encounter and serve him in those who are hungry or thirsty, naked or ill or in prison (Mt 25:31-46).
A spirituality of the blood of Christ must also radiate into the sphere of fraternity. More than ever, there is a need for men and women who, in the name of Jesus, place themselves fully at the service of their brothers and sisters, with the audacity of a love that keeps no account.
In this month, traditionally dedicated to the most precious blood, we are therefore called to become aware of others and see them as brothers and sisters: the first step in opening the doors of our hearts to others is to pray for them and their needs, entrusting them to the merciful heart of Jesus.
Constant and sincere prayer will be the beginning of a new way of looking at our brothers and sisters, filling our hearts with the desire to give of ourselves and serve just as the Lord Jesus did for us.
