The final event in preparation for Sunday of the Word calls us to the commitment and joy of proclaiming the Word!
We all must and can be proclaimers in the community, in the family and in daily life of what we have seen and heard.

The liturgical-pastoral booklet Sunday of the Word of God then presents the «three pillars» on which our proclamation must be based: «Seeing, hearing, proclaiming. Proclaiming what one has experienced means sharing it, extending God's happiness to all humanity, offered anew to his creatures in the new creation even more abundantly than in the first creation».

Seeing God is the longing that the human heart has always felt: in Jesus, God certainly revealed his face, but – the booklet asks – «is it possible to see him in the history full of contradictions and persecutions that followed? With the eyes of a pure heart, it is. And it is not only a matter of “seeing” that every other human being is a “tabernacle” of Christ, but also that the power of the new creation is realized in the weakness of its witnesses».
With this continuing vision of hope, we must therefore know how to bear witness to God's love and his promise of “new life,” because «if one has “seen” and “heard” something of vital importance, one cannot remain silent about it».
Ultimately, this means living, bearing witness to and therefore proclaiming the “dream” that God has always cherished for humanity: a humanity capable of weaving bonds of mutual love, in a continual offering to others, following the example of Jesus, who loved us first and gave his life for us.
Therefore, let us boldly proclaim what we have heard: let us become sowers of hope!
