At the Foot of the Cross. The Choice of Sister Annita Bindi, Father Candido Amantini, Father Giorgio Giorgini, Maria Ester Malfetti

Lucia Bigozzi introduces us to Sister Annita Bindi, her life, and her vocation. Through her, she also helps us discover the parallel lives of three other important figures: Father Candido Amantini, the man who stripped himself of everything to be filled with Christ; Father Giorgio Giorgini, Mary's “warrior” Capuchin; and Maria Ester Malfetti, the teacher who “taught” Jesus. Page after page, word after word, you will see Annita come alive again - this “little-great nun” who turned accepted and embraced suffering into a song of offering to Jesus and knew how to spread Christ's love, comforting, encouraging, and smiling at everyone who came to her little iron gate.
