Sugar-free ginger hard candies, made according to the recipe of the Antica Farmacia dei Monaci Camaldolesi. These filled candies with natural flavors and colors are sugar-free and contain neither GMOs nor allergens listed in EEC Directive 2003/89/EC. They are available in a 100 g package. Ingredients: Sweeteners: isomalt, steviol glycosides; ginger extract, natural flavors, acidity regulator: citric acid. Historical notes: The ancient pharmacy is located inside the Camaldolese monastery, a monastic order founded by Saint Romuald in the 11th century. This pharmacy is known for its long history and its use of herbs and natural remedies, in keeping with the monastic tradition of care and assistance. The Camaldolese monks, devoted to contemplative life and spiritual study, also played an important role in medicine and botany. Their pharmacy was often equipped with a wide range of medicinal herbs, preparations, and ointments, used both for the well-being of the monks themselves and to assist the surrounding community.
