Damask priestly chasuble with chalice embroidery

Priestly chasuble made of 100% damask polyester fabric, decorated with direct embroidery on both the front and back featuring a chalice and JHS. The damask fabric makes it particularly elegant, ideal for important celebrations. The chasuble comes complete with a matching stole. Available in the 4 liturgical colors. Made in Italy by a company of skilled artisans. The General Instruction of the Roman Missal identifies the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating the rite of Mass and during actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached the heels, covering every part of the priest's body. Over time, its length underwent many changes, including around the arms, eventually becoming a rigid garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (planeta). Only during the 20th century did the chasuble take on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
