Perforated olive wood Dove pendant with cord, 2,8 cm

Olive wood medallion pendant, 2.8 cm high, featuring an openwork dove, a symbol of the Holy Spirit. The pendant comes with a cord approximately 40 cm long, suitable for wearing around the neck. Ideal as a gift for young people preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. The dove represents the Holy Spirit and is one of the most widespread symbols in Christianity. In the Gospels, the Holy Spirit is seen descending from heaven in the form of a dove during Christ's Baptism. The image nevertheless symbolically illustrates God's special love for Jesus, as declared in the texts. In later centuries, the dove took on the role of a symbol of the Holy Spirit in other episodes, such as the Annunciation and depictions of the Trinity.
