The Pardon Crucifix is an ancient Catholic sacramental approved in 1905 by Pope Saint Pius X. Together with the Miraculous Medal and the Medal of Saint Benedict, it is considered one of the most powerful devotions against Satan. On the front, the cross bears the inscription "Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum", abbreviated as INRI. On the back, the Sacred Heart of Jesus is placed in the center, with the inscriptions "Pater dimitte illis" (Father, forgive them) and "Ecce cor quod tantum homine dilexit" (Behold the heart that has loved mankind so much). At the bottom of the cross is the letter M, overlaid with the letter A. This is the Marian monogram, which has a dual meaning: "Auspice Maria", meaning under Mary's protection, or "Ave Maria", the words proclaimed by the archangel Gabriel to the Madonna during the Annunciation.
