The Ten Commandments. Catechesis by Pope Francis

The book brings together all the audiences that the Holy Father devoted to the Ten Commandments. “The Pope offers us an unconventional reading of the Commandments, dismantling, piece by piece, many of our convictions, or more precisely, many of our preconceptions. According to Pope Francis, the Commandments are ‘Words of life.’ They contain ‘yeses’ to everything that gives us life and ‘nos’ to everything that instead reduces us to merely getting by, gradually extinguishing us. They have not gone out of fashion; on the contrary, they now prove more relevant than ever” (from the introduction by Father Pasquale Bua). With simple yet profound words, the Holy Father takes us by the hand and shows us the direction to follow in our often disoriented lives, providing us with an important key for understanding.
