The 1943 notebooks

Maria Valtorta interspersed the writing of the work The Gospel as Revealed to Me with writings on various subjects, collected in three volumes: The Notebooks of 1943, The Notebooks of 1944, and The Notebooks of 1945-50. The “Notebooks” compile the writings in chronological order according to their daily dates. The edition is especially thorough in its notes, written with restraint yet comprehensive, particularly in the biblical cross-references and indexes. The topics covered range from theological and doctrinal themes to supernatural visions, from mystical experiences to current events.
