The 1944 notebooks

Maria Valtorta interspersed the writing of the work The Gospel as Revealed to Me with writings on various subjects, collected in three volumes: The Notebooks of 1943, The Notebooks of 1944, and The Notebooks of 1945-50. The “Notebooks” compile the writings in chronological order according to their daily dates. The edition is carefully prepared, with notes that are restrained yet comprehensive, especially in the biblical cross-references and indexes. The topics covered range from theological and doctrinal themes to supernatural visions, from mystical experiences to current events.
