The Saints of the Missal. Rolando Rivi. His Life: «I Belong to Jesus»

This book tells the story of Blessed Rolando Rivi - a seminarian martyred at just 14 years of age - with intensity and mastery, as narrated by Emilio Bonicelli. This concise and compelling biographical profile conveys the full story of Rolando's brief yet extraordinarily luminous life. As a young seminarian, he refused to abandon his cassock even during the turbulent period at the end of the Second World War, when a climate of hatred toward priests was spreading. “I belong to Jesus,” Rolando firmly declared, and because of this belonging he felt so deeply, he did not hesitate to give his life. That is why his life, cut short and offered so early out of love, continues to speak to us today, teaching us that “holiness has no age and requires no special social or cultural conditions. Holiness is for everyone” (Father Romano Vescovi, from the Introduction). Discover all the other books in the series
