The Gospel as Revealed to Me. Volume IX

Volume nine of Maria Valtorta’s work «The Gospel as Revealed to Me» covers the preparation for Jesus’ Passion. The complete work consists of 10 volumes. It recounts the birth and childhood of the Virgin Mary and her Son Jesus, the three years of Jesus’ public life (which make up the largest part), his Passion, death, Resurrection, and Ascension, the beginnings of the Church, and Mary’s Assumption. The complete work describes landscapes, settings, people, and events with the vividness of a portrayal; presents personalities and situations; conveys joys and dramas with the feeling of someone who is truly taking part; and provides information about environmental characteristics, customs, rites, and cultures.
