The Most Beautiful Prayers of the Bible: The Psalms

In this valuable volume, we find the Bible's 150 Psalms, 50 biblical songs from the Old Testament, and 22 biblical songs from the New Testament in the official version of the Italian Episcopal Conference. Each psalm or canticle is enriched with a brief meditation that makes the prayer relevant today. We might ask ourselves: does it still make sense to recite the Psalms today, the quintessential “prayers” of the people of Israel? In fact, these ancient texts still speak to us today: there is no human feeling that the psalms and canticles do not express, and by reciting them, every situation in life can become a prayer.
