Luisa Piccarreta. Living in the Divine Will

Luisa Piccarreta (1865-1947), at around thirteen years of age, had a vision of Jesus carrying the Cross along the way to Calvary. Raising His eyes toward her, He said: “Soul, help Me.” From then on, an insatiable desire was kindled within her to suffer Jesus’ sufferings with Him for the salvation of souls. She then began to experience physical sufferings caused by invisible stigmata and attacks from the devil. Added to her spiritual and moral sufferings, these led her to live the Christian virtues heroically. These pages offer a brief biography introducing the doctrine of the Apulian mystic, which increasingly attracts believers who, individually or in groups, wish to learn the essential elements of the spirituality of the “little daughter of the Divine Will,” as Jesus Himself calls her.
