Baroque monstrance for a large host in gilded brass and bronze. Dimensions 43x64 cm

Baroque monstrance for a large host, made of gilded brass, with a polished cast-brass base and a double glass viewing window with a rear door for inserting the large host using the appropriate snap-in accessory. The unfinished brass monstrance is first nickel-plated, then palladium-plated, and gilded with pure gold. A valuable, finely crafted item, it resembles a small sun with rays surrounding the center where the host is placed. The monstrance is an object used in the Catholic liturgy to display and adore the consecrated Host during the celebration of Mass or during Eucharistic adoration. Dimensions: 43x64 cm. Inner viewing-window diameter: 16 cm
