Pilgrim in the hospital ward. Face to face with Hope

A daily pilgrimage undertaken by Father Gianluca, a hospital chaplain in Brescia, consisting of encounters with people going through a difficult moment in their lives, in which unexpected strengths emerge and inspire reasons for hope. The hospital ward thus becomes “the sanctuary of hope,” and the patient becomes the “pilgrim” capable of transforming their difficulties into opportunities. In this way, ordinary life stories evoke the lives of certain saints, creating a kind of “twinning” between the saints in heaven and the “saints on earth.” Paoline Editions
