Oval painting with votive Sacred Heart motif, Passion. Dimensions 10x15 cm

Small Ex Voto Heart plaque made of silver-plated metal, with a flame and cross at the top, set against a red velvet background. It is called the Passion Votive Heart because the border features 9 symbols, all relating to the Passion of Jesus. This small plaque has a hook on the back, allowing it to be hung anywhere in the home. The votive heart has always been a tangible sign of devotion to God or a saint: it expresses gratitude for a grace received or a request for help in a difficult moment. Today, it has also become an object capable of speaking to the present, rich in positive symbolism. Depicted in various forms in jewelry and decorative objects, it becomes a good-luck symbol and an expression of remembrance of a particular moment in life.
