Saint Gerard Majella. The little friar who played with God

This short biography of Saint Gerard Majella, written by Father Théodule Rey-Mermet, a French Redemptorist, seeks to project us, with joy and simplicity, into the life and spirituality of this small yet great brother, who even today continues to be a powerful sign and a constant presence in the lives of so many people. [?] The second part of the book offers a collection of prayers, permeated and sustained by the Word of God, which help us keep our relationship with God alive and fresh and give us the essential strength that enables us to live the Gospel message with serenity and peace. Father Antonio Perillo CSSR Rector of the Shrine Women who long to become mothers call upon the powerful intercession of Saint Gerard Majella: the countless votive offerings that continually arrive at the Shrine from all over the world bear witness to this. His life, spent in total surrender to God's will, and the abuses and humiliations of every kind that he accepted with love made him so special that he became the patron saint of mothers and children.
