Saint Maria Troncatti. A Mother's Heart. Life. Testimonies. Prayers

This book is a contribution that, from several perspectives, helps us delve more deeply into the story of Sister Maria Troncatti, an exceptional woman, a Daughter of Mary Help of Christians, a missionary, and a mother to all who had the grace of meeting her. Above all, it is the testimony of someone who truly lived Don Bosco’s apostolic passion, “Da mihi animas, cetera tolle” (“Give me souls, take away everything else”), accepting the demanding asceticism of “work and temperance” as an indispensable condition for “bearing fruit.” By presenting Sister Troncatti, beatified on November 24, 2012, and canonized on October 19, 2025, this book seeks to keep alive the memory of the long line of generous and heroic Salesian missionaries and Daughters of Mary Help of Christians who, in Ecuador’s Amazon rainforest, sowed the seed of the Gospel with tears, sweat, and often the gift of their lives. A book for learning and praying.
