Colored ceramic statue of Our Lady of Loreto. Height 34 cm

Beautiful 34 cm tall statue in glossy ceramic, depicting the Madonna of Loreto. Meticulously hand-painted and carefully crafted in every detail. Each statue is a unique and original piece, hand-painted by specialized Italian artisans. Ceramic can also be placed outdoors, as its color does not fade over time and it is highly durable. It is also much lighter than resin, which is more resistant but also heavier. The Holy House, preserved inside the Basilica of Loreto, consists of three walls that, according to ancient and authoritative tradition, formed the front part of the cave in Nazareth where the Blessed Virgin Mary was born, lived, and received the Annunciation. Devout tradition holds that the transfer of the Holy House from Nazareth to Loreto was carried out by angels. According to another interpretation, it was the work of some Christians who saved the Madonna's house from destruction and transported it to the ancient municipality of Recanati. Both authoritative tradition and archaeological and philological studies allow us to acknowledge with certainty that Heaven's help played a part in this extraordinary transport. According to archaeological excavations, the three walls of the Holy House fit perfectly with the perimeter of the Cave of Nazareth, namely the remaining part of Mary's house. Furthermore, the stones from which it is built do not come from the Recanati area, but are characteristic of Palestinian building practices at the time of Christ. This attests to the authenticity of the relic.
