Embroidered ivory stole. Viscose blend

Beautiful and very distinctive stole, 136.5 cm long, with fabric that closely resembles a Franciscan habit and is made from several materials: 50% viscose, 20% linen, 20% cotton, and 10% wool. Saint Francis is embroidered directly onto the fabric on one side of the stole, and a cross is embroidered on the other. Entirely made in Italy by a company of skilled artisans that has been operating in the sacred vestments sector for many years, creating handcrafted, exceptionally high-quality products. The use of the stole is always obligatory during celebrations and rites for bishops, priests, and deacons (although deacons use a different stole, as they wear it differently from priests). When wearing it, a priest (bishop or presbyter) lets it hang straight from the shoulders to the legs, while a deacon wears it diagonally, from the left shoulder to the right hip. Over time, the stole’s symbolism has evolved: initially, it represented the office that deacons and priests accepted during ordination; later, it came to symbolize the virtues of the priest, making it a symbol of humility, wisdom, patience, purity, and fortitude.
