Youcat. The Faith Explained to Young People. New Revised and Updated Edition.

Why a catechism for young people today? So that young people can rediscover the roots of the Christian faith and live their lives consciously and with an open outlook. This is the purpose of YOUCAT, the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adolescents and young people. YOUCAT explains the entire Catholic faith as presented in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, in language intended for young people. The work is structured in question-and-answer form, and the numbers after each answer refer to the more extensive discussions in the Catechism. The commentary that follows each answer is intended to provide young people with further help in understanding the issues discussed and their significance in everyone’s life. YOUCAT is enriched with quotations from Sacred Scripture, texts by the Magisterium and by saints, teachers of the faith, as well as figures from various fields: poetry, natural sciences, fiction, music, philosophy...
