The beloved disciple. Novena and Triduum in Honour of Saint Carlo Acutis

The book presents a novena and a triduum centred on listening to the Gospel according to John: Carlo was always very closely devoted to the figure of Saint John the Apostle, the beloved disciple of Jesus, who at the Last Supper rested his head upon the heart of Christ. In this gesture, Charles saw a clear invitation addressed to men of all times to become true disciples of Christ, to grasp that universal call to holiness, which God addresses to all. There is also the novena approved by the Brazilian Diocese of Campo Grande. May Carlo’s example and intercession obtain the many graces that are needed, and above all, the grace of experiencing the joy of being called and truly being “beloved disciples of Jesus”.

ITA: Michele Munno presenta una novena e un triduo in onore di san Carlo Acutis incentrati sull’ascolto del Vangelo secondo Giovanni. Carlo, infatti, è stato sempre molto legato alla figura di san Giovanni apostolo, il discepolo tanto amato e prediletto da Gesù, che nell’Ultima Cena posò il capo sul cuore di Cristo. In questo gesto, il giovane vedeva un chiaro invito rivolto agli uomini di tutti i tempi a diventare veri discepoli di Cristo, a cogliere quella chiamata universale alla santità, che Dio rivolge a tutti. Nel libro è presente, inoltre, anche la novena approvata dalla diocesi brasiliana di Campo Grande. L’augurio è che l’esempio e l’intercessione di Carlo ottengano le numerose grazie di cui si ha bisogno e soprattutto quella di sperimentare la gioia di chiamarsi ed essere “discepoli amati di Gesù”.
