About us

SHALOM PUBLISHING HOUSE

From the heart of the Word to the heart of the world

For more than thirty years, we have accompanied the journey of faith through books and religious articles dedicated to prayer and Christian life. Our publishing house was born from an insight that matured in prayer and was entrusted to the Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace. The name Shalom expresses a peace that finds its fullness in Christ: this is the meaning that guides our work in fidelity to the Magisterium of the Church.

Our pages tell stories of faith, prayer, and devotion. They are addressed to those who wish to nourish their spirituality, those seeking answers, and those who want to find an opportunity for comfort and growth through reading: it is with this desire that we continue to work:

making the Christian message ever more accessible and close to people.

A mission to live every day

For us, publishing means taking part in the mission of evangelization. We identify with the commitment of the «apostles of the good press»: offering words that help people rediscover the beauty of a God who loves and welcomes, supporting the journey of those who are searching and those who wish to grow in faith.

We think of every book as a seed entrusted to the reader. A prayer, a meditation, or a testimony can open a space for reflection, offer comfort, and help us look at our lives in the light of faith. This conviction inspires the care with which we build our publishing offering.

The world changes, and so do the ways we communicate; for this reason, our mission is renewed along with them, while preserving the desire that has accompanied us from the beginning:

sharing words capable of nourishing the spirit and opening new horizons.

Publications

Books for prayer, knowledge, and growth in faith

Our catalog includes more than 800 titles: prayer books, biographies of saints, works on meditation and spirituality, and volumes dedicated to the relationship between faith and everyday life, the family, and Christian couples.

These are different reading journeys, united by the desire to accompany spiritual life. Alongside collections of prayers, there are stories of those who have borne witness to the Gospel and reflections that help bring faith into relationships and everyday life.

Among the best-known publications are Pray, Pray, Pray (the most comprehensive and widely distributed prayer book in the world) and the missal On Your Word. The catalog also includes well-known titles such as Eucharistic Miracles Around the World, the official catalog of the exhibition conceived and created by Saint Carlo Acutis, The Holy Rosary by Cardinal Angelo Comastri, and the collection of messages from the Queen of Peace of Medjugorje.

Authors and Collaborations

The authors in our catalog include Cardinal Angelo Comastri, Monsignor Nazzareno Marconi, Monsignor Yoannis Lahzi Gaid, Monsignor Renzo Lavatori, Father Tarcisio Stramare, Father Serafino Tognetti, and Father Paolo Mojoli. Their contributions enrich our publishing offering with reflections and testimonies addressed to a broad audience.

Religious Items for Spiritual Life

Alongside books, we offer over 5,000 religious items, carefully selected to support prayer and daily devotion.

Rosaries, statues, medals, and other devotional items are part of an offering that stems from the same mission as our publications.

Even an object can help someone recollect themselves, call a prayer to mind, and preserve a sign of their faith in everyday life.

Our commitment is to offer tools that can find a place in people’s spiritual lives, accompanying their actions and moments of prayer.

New paths for evangelization

Alongside our print publications, we offer the digital Missalino, the Pregate, Pregate, Pregate app, eBooks, audiobooks, podcasts, content on Spotify, the blog, and the WhatsApp channel.

Technology offers us new possibilities for making publications accessible and reaching readers; we see it as an ally of print, capable of extending its reach and offering other opportunities to engage with content about faith.

A word to carry beyond borders

We look to the future with the desire to bring our publications to an ever-growing number of people. Translation and digital distribution are part of this vision: tools for overcoming linguistic and geographical distances and sharing a message intended for everyone.

We believe in the value of dialogue and encounter. That is why we continue to imagine new ways of connecting books and readers, so that everyone can find light, comfort, and help for their journey in our pages.

From the heart of the Word to the heart of the world: this is the direction in which we wish to continue, together with our readers.
