June, the month of light, the month of colors, the month of the joy of living, and always the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
We are placed before what is essential in life and spirituality. An essential that is called LOVE! Love of God, love of neighbor, love of life, love of creation. Saint John Paul II reminds us: βGod created man in his own image and likeness: calling him into existence out of love, he called him to love at the same time. [β¦] Love is therefore the fundamental and innate vocation of every human beingβ (Familiaris consortio, 11).
As I meditate and pray to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, I feel called to rediscover love, my fundamental vocation within my state of life, the vocation that guides, enlightens, animates, and characterizes my actions and my relationships with people and everyday life.
But above all, contemplating the Heart of βthe One who was piercedβ (cf. Jn 19:37), I am fascinated and won over by that Love of the Father who βloved us firstβ (1 Jn 4:19) and who βso loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Sonβ (Jn 3:16), the Son who, βhaving loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the endβ (Jn 13:1).
Before the Heart of Jesus, I am led to recognize and bless the love of Mary, βMother of Beautiful Love,β the love of Saint Joseph and the saints, and that of so many people who surround me and encourage me with their generous dedication.
The month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the month of love welcomed, reciprocated, healed, and lived: this is true light, complete joy, and peace of heart.Β
