Saint Jude Thaddeus was one of Jesus' twelve apostles, cousin of the Messiah and brother of Saint James the Less. His name means “man with a great heart,” and his feast is celebrated on October 28. Thousands of sufferers invoke his miraculous intervention every day, and it is especially in difficult and critical cases that his wondrous help is experienced. He is indeed venerated as the patron of desperate causes and impossible cases. Many miracles are attributed to his intercession.

Healed of serious complications
On October 26, I was admitted as an emergency patient, following a thorough medical consultation, to San Camillo Hospital in Rome. The diagnosis: heart failure, edema throughout my body, complications of the urinary tract, and bronchitis. My priest brother, who had come to visit me, together with my parish priest, seeing the seriousness of my condition, wanted to administer the holy sacraments to me, which I received with devotion and joy. My condition was extremely serious, but my faith in Saint Jude Thaddeus, whom I turned to for healing from God, was so great that the doctors, inspired by the Saint, after 47 days in the hospital gave me the joy of returning home healed. Healed of bleeding
My sister Elena, suffering from severe conditions due to persistent bleeding, was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors declared her life to be in danger. We turned to the great Saint with pleas and prayers, and he obtained for us what was no longer humanly possible: my sister's improvement and recovery (E.R.).
Healed of cancer
In July, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Despite two rounds of treatment, the disease progressed. I fervently prayed to Saint Jude Thaddeus, trusting that he could obtain the grace of complete healing for me. Meanwhile, October 15 of the following year arrived, the day I had a new examination for a third round of radiation. How surprised the professor was, the same one as the previous year, when he found that the disease had completely disappeared. I was given my card and discharged from the hospital, because I was completely healed. Gratefully, I give thanks to my heavenly Protector (C.B.).
