On October 31, in the evocative setting of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Divine Love in Castel di Leva, “All Saints’ Night” will be held for the first time, a special event dedicated to young people and their call to holiness. This initiative represents a spiritual alternative to the traditional Halloween celebration, with the aim of rediscovering the value of a life inspired by faith and charity. The event is organized by Christian Music Italy and the Oltremare nonprofit organization, in collaboration with the Diocese of Rome, and is designed to bring young people closer to contemporary saints as models of life and love for others.

Carlo Acutis: witness to contemporary holiness
The young Blessed Carlo Acutis will be the evening’s main witness. Known for his profound love of the Eucharist and his ability to communicate the faith through technology, Carlo represents a relatable and accessible model for young people. During the night, a relic of his heart will be displayed, offering participants a unique opportunity to reflect on the call to holiness.
The rector of the Sanctuary of the Stripping in Assisi, Father Marco Gaballo, will lead this moment with a testimony recounting Carlo’s life and Christian commitment, an example of “next-door” holiness who should be canonized during the 2025 Jubilee.

Music, catechesis, and prayer: a journey of faith for young people
All Saints’ Night will feature music, art, and catechesis, with contributions from prominent figures such as Father Fabio Rosini and Father Giulio Albanese. Young people will take part in an evening combining moments of reflection with a festive atmosphere, accompanied by the Christian band Kantiere Kairòs and artists such as Lorenzo Belluscio. Works by Erika Fossati, an artist who spreads the Gospel through art, will also be on display, along with images of contemporary saints such as Chiara Corbella.

Holiness within everyone’s reach
“Holiness is not a privilege for the few chosen,” Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, “but a vocation for everyone.” This event aims to encourage young people to live out holiness in their everyday lives, making it accessible to all, following the example of figures such as Carlo Acutis and Sammy Basso, the young man with progeria who recently passed away and whose joy of living made him a true herald of hope.

The youngest participants of the “Night of the Saints”
This year, the event will also include a moment dedicated to children aged 5 to 11, who will be able to take part in a special Night of the Saints led by the “Francesclaun,” secular Franciscans who use clown therapy. Through play and joy, the young participants will discover that holiness can also be lived out with simplicity, following the example of Saint Francis, the “jester of God.”
The Night of the Saints is therefore a time for fun, but above all for reflection and prayer, to rediscover the beauty of a Christian life lived with authenticity and commitment. A unique evening that brings young people and families together in the spirit of hope and faith.
