Bottle with wheat seeds and Tau cross, for the Altar of Repose. Dimensions 2.8x7.5

Glass bottle containing wheat seeds and a wooden cross measuring 1.5x2 cm, with a colored cord. The wheat seeds are used to decorate the Altar of Repose on Holy Thursday, as a symbol of rebirth and hope in the Resurrection.

The Altar of Repose, more commonly called the "Sepulchre", is a place set up during Holy Thursday for the Holy Mass. It is used to safeguard the Eucharist after the celebration, which is then distributed to the faithful on Good Friday.

It is a place of prayer and worship where the faithful can pray and ask for grace through the Passion of Jesus.
