Ivory chasuble with embroidery of the Divine Mercy Jesus and JHS. Polyester blend

Ivory chasuble made from a soft polyester and wool blend fabric. The rich stole features direct machine embroidery in gold and colored thread, depicting the image from the Divine Mercy painting, with the JHS trigram on the back. Made in Poland by a company of artisans. The Principles and Norms for the Use of the Roman Missal indicate the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating Mass and during actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached down to the heels, covering every part of the priest's body. Over time, it underwent many variations in length, including on the arms, eventually becoming a rigid garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (planet). Only during the 20th century did the chasuble take on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
