100% polyester chasuble, decorated with direct embroidery on both the front and back depicting the chalice surmounted by the IHS trigram, grapes, and ears of wheat, symbols of the Eucharistic sacrifice. The chasuble comes complete with a matching stole. Available in the 4 liturgical colors and in pink. The Principles and Norms for the Use of the Roman Missal identify the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating Mass and during actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached the heels, covering every part of the priest's body. Over time, it underwent many changes in length, including on the arms, eventually becoming a rigid garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (pianeta). It was only during the 20th century that the chasuble took on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
