Pure wool chasuble with pure silk band and collar

Entirely made in Italy by a company of skilled artisans that has been working in the sacred vestments sector for many years, creating handcrafted products of the highest quality. The General Instruction of the Roman Missal identifies the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating Mass and performing actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached down to the heels, covering every part of the priest's body. Over time, its length underwent many changes, including around the arms, eventually becoming a stiff garment that covered only the shoulders and chest and fastened at the sides (pianeta). It was only during the 20th century that the chasuble took on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
