Chasuble in lightweight summer fabric

Chasuble in embroidered Vatican fabric made of ultra-lightweight polyester. It is made with embroidery directly on both the front and back and comes complete with a stole. The fabric makes it perfect for the summer season. Handmade in Italy by specialized tailoring workshops. The General Instruction of the Roman Missal indicates the chasuble as the proper vestment for the priest when celebrating Mass and for actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached the heels, covering every part of the priest’s body. Over time, its length changed considerably, including around the arms, eventually becoming a stiff garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (planeta). It was only during the 20th century that the chasuble took on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
