Liturgical chasuble with silver cross and gold wheat-ear embroidery

100% polyester chasuble, decorated with direct gold embroidery on both the front and back of the cross with ears of wheat. The chasuble comes complete with a matching stole. Available in the 4 liturgical colors. Made in Italy by a company of skilled artisans. The General Instruction of the Roman Missal indicates the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating Mass and during actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached the heels, covering every part of the priest's body. Over time, its length underwent many changes, including on the arms, eventually becoming a rigid garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (planeta). Only during the 20th century did the chasuble take on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
