Liturgical chasuble with embroidered gold cross

Chasuble made of 100% polyester, decorated with direct gold embroidery on both the front and back of the golden cross. The chasuble comes complete with a matching stole.

The General Instruction of the Roman Missal indicates the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating Mass and when performing actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached the heels, covering every part of the priest's body. Over time, it underwent many changes in length, including across the arms, eventually becoming a rigid garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (the planet). Only during the 20th century did the chasuble take on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
