Ivory Marian chasuble with gold and silver embroidered M of Mary. Polyester blend

Chasuble in ivory, made of a polyester and wool blend fabric, with a central band embroidered with a Marian symbol in gold and silver thread. Made in Poland by a company of artisans. The Principles and Norms for the Use of the Roman Missal identify the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating Mass and performing actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached the heels, covering every part of the priest's body. Over time, its length underwent many changes, including around the arms, eventually becoming a rigid garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (planeta). It was only during the 20th century that the chasuble took on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
