Marian chasuble with embroidered Face of the Immaculate Madonna. Polyester blend

Marian priest's chasuble made of a polyester and wool blend fabric, with an embroidered image of the Immaculate Madonna's face on the front, at chest height, below which a series of golden decorations extends down to the feet. These embellishments are also featured across the entire back of the stole. Available in white and ivory. Made in Poland by a company of artisans. The General Instruction of the Roman Missal identifies the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating Mass and performing actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached the heels, covering every part of the priest's body. Over time, its length changed considerably, including around the arms, eventually becoming a rigid garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (planeta). Only during the 20th century did the chasuble take on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
