Damask Marian chasuble with direct embroidery

Marian priestly chasuble made of 100% polyester fabric, decorated with direct embroidery of the M of Mary on both the front and back. The damask fabric makes it particularly elegant, ideal for important celebrations. The chasuble comes complete with a matching stole. Made in Italy by a company of experienced artisans. The Principles and Norms for the Use of the Roman Missal indicate the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating the rite of Mass and actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached the heels, covering every part of the priest’s body. Over time, it underwent many variations in length, including on the arms, eventually becoming a rigid garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (pianeta). It was only during the 20th century that the chasuble took on its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
