Red Sacred Heart chasuble

Beautiful red damask chasuble with a central panel in satin-like fabric featuring a machine-embroidered Sacred Heart of Jesus. Its generous, rounded cut offers a comfortable fit. Elegant and distinctive, this chasuble can be worn on special occasions when red is required, such as feasts of martyrs, Good Friday, Palm Sunday, and Pentecost. In addition to symbolizing the Holy Spirit, the color red also symbolizes the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The General Instruction of the Roman Missal identifies the chasuble as the proper vestment of the priest when celebrating Mass and performing actions closely connected with it. Originally, the vestment reached the heels, covering every part of the priest's body. Over time, its length varied considerably, including at the arms, eventually becoming a rigid garment that covered only the shoulders and torso and fastened at the sides (planeta). Only during the 20th century did the chasuble assume its current dimensions. The color of the chasuble is determined by the liturgical season.
