The author is Bishop Bruno Forte, archbishop of the Archdiocese of Chieti-Vasto.
The book is a collection of the homilies from the Chrism Mass celebrated on Holy Thursday during the twenty-two years of Bishop Forte’s episcopate.
“Collecting the homilies I delivered at the celebration of the Chrism Mass during the twenty-two years of my episcopate in the Church of Chieti-Vasto is also a way of preserving a significant record of the journey undertaken, and at the same time it is an invitation to dialogue for those who may find something of interest in them, as well as an act of praise and love for the Lord, who is faithful in giving Himself to us and asks us to proclaim His Gospel to everyone, not in the abstract, but in a way that expresses and touches real life and seeks above all to nourish it with meaning, hope, and peace...”
