Historical notes: Since 1968, products for personal care have been made in the laboratory of Valserena Cistercian Monastery. This activity supports the community and provides assistance to foundations in mission lands. The monastery belongs to the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance, a monastic institute entirely devoted to the contemplative life. Within the enclosure, the nuns devote themselves to the worship of God according to the Rule of Saint Benedict.
