Soothing lipid-replenishing face cream with St. John’s wort and olive unsaponifiables, produced and packaged by the Cistercian nuns of Valserena. With pronounced nourishing and lipid-replenishing properties, it is suitable for very dry, rough, chapped, and dehydrated skin or skin prone to imperfections. St. John’s wort is a plant with exceptionally soothing, emollient, and restorative cosmetic properties, as well as antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and healing properties; it therefore helps with sunburn and skin wounds. Olive oil unsaponifiables provide the skin with important protective substances, such as phytosterols and waxes, which give the product emollient, softening, and lipid-replenishing properties, enhancing its protective effects. Thanks to the important properties of these two ingredients, the cream is also effective as an anti-aging product. Packaged in a convenient 50 ml jar.

Directions: Apply in the evening after cleansing and massage gently until fully absorbed.

Historical notes: Since 1968, products for personal care have been made in the laboratory of the Cistercian Monastery of Valserena. This activity supports the community and provides assistance to foundations in mission lands. The monastery belongs to the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance, a monastic institute wholly devoted to contemplative life. Within the enclosure, the nuns devote themselves to the worship of God according to the Rule of Saint Benedict.
