Descrizione
The text is a collection of three hundred and thirty-eight letters, arranged in chronological order and selected to inspire a brief meditation: an extraordinary document of faith and spiritual guidance on the most varied aspects of life, according to the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales and Don Bosco. The book is not a biography, but rather the teaching and spirituality of a great educator and priest. Monsignor Cimatti, apostle, scientist, musician, and educator, was a great missionary in Japan. Although his Japanese was not perfect, he made himself understood through the language of kindness and his smile, as well as through music that was joyful and moving, fascinating and intense. Beginning in 1926, Don Cimatti carried out an intense pastoral and missionary ministry in Japan for 40 years, according to the Salesian charism. He was director of the Salesian Theological Studentate established in Chofu in 1950, promoted the founding of the Miyazaki Sisters of Charity, and expanded the Salesians' work through youth oratories and vocational schools. Until 1940, he was the Apostolic Prefect of Miyazaki.
