Educating for Beauty

“Beauty will save the world,” Dostoevsky wrote. But how can the world be saved if no one is able to recognize beauty anymore? This book begins educating anew through the search for beauty. A search that also becomes curiosity about what is different, respect for the environment, and awareness of the duty to preserve our artistic and cultural heritage. Six chapters, for six multidisciplinary paths: 1) Beauty in nature and the environment 2) Beauty in the human body and in love 3) Beauty in art and culture 4) Beauty in imagination and creativity 5) Beauty in infinity 6) Beauty? in ugliness. For each reflection, a related activity and recommendations for films, songs, and texts connected to the topic to enrich teaching. Edizioni Elledici
