He Was a Boy Called Jesus

Jesus was a child and a boy, and like all his peers, he lived a simple life. But every now and then, there were surprises in his everyday life too. We know that when he was around 12, Jesus went to Jerusalem with Mary and Joseph. This book tells the story of that journey. As it does so, it recounts many anecdotes that help readers understand the world in which the Son of God lived: its customs, traditions, and celebrations. The maps at the end of the book illustrate Palestine in Jesus’ time, the presence of the Roman Empire, and the city of Jerusalem. A book for diving into the world Jesus lived in, getting to know him better, and loving him more and more.
