St. Joseph of Copertino. The patron saint of students

GERMAN As Friars of Saint Joseph of Copertino, we are pleased to present pilgrims who pray to him at this shrine with a reprint of the saint's biography. This book recalls Saint Joseph's earthly journey among us. Pope John Paul II once told us: “Saint Joseph of Copertino continues to shine in our time like a spotlight, clearly illuminating the daily path of all those who trust in his heavenly intercession. Known as the ‘Saint of Flights’ because of his frequent ecstasies and extraordinary mystical experiences, he urges the faithful to encounter God personally and surrender themselves to His will. As the patron saint of students, our saint encourages the world of culture, especially schools, to shape human knowledge according to God's wisdom.” God's grace to you all! The Friars Minor - The Guardians of the Saint ITALIAN The biography of Saint Joseph of Copertino for all pilgrims who visit the Basilica Shrine of Saint Joseph of Copertino in Osimo (AN), and for all those who wish to learn more about this special saint. The brief chapters retrace the saint's human and spiritual story, highlighting the difficulties he encountered throughout his life, but also the immense graces granted to him by the Father. Patron saint of students and aviators, his life was marked by inexplicable events: passing examinations despite being almost illiterate, ecstasies and levitations occurring at the most varied moments, and his ability to explain theology even though he had never studied it. Even today, his “flights” remain phenomena inexplicable to science.
