The Saints of the Missal. Mother Speranza. Her Life, Mystical Experiences, the Sanctuary

The book, supervised by Father Massimo Tofani, FAM, Vice Postulator of the cause for the canonization of Blessed Esperanza of Jesus, offers an engaging and accessible, well-rounded portrait of Blessed Mother Speranza. It retraces her life and mystical experiences before focusing on her work: the Shrine of Merciful Love. “Mother Speranza’s life was a continuous union with the ‘Good Jesus.’ United with him, she founded two religious congregations, oversaw the construction of schools to educate the poorest young people, established homes for caring for the sick, and finally created her greatest work: the Shrine of Merciful Love” (Father Massimo Tofani, FAM, from the Preface). To us and to our time, often prey to despair, Blessed Mother Speranza of Jesus teaches us to see light within every darkness. She reminds us that we are beloved children and shows us the true face of God, who is Merciful Love.
